The Role:

Lumanu is looking for a driven and diligent marketing leader to develop and execute marketing strategies. You will increase awareness and develop new business through various channels, as well as manage the overall brand voice. 

We’re looking for a hungry, “I want to be a CMO someday” type of person to manage and build our marketing team. Someone who thrives in a fast-growth startup with a strong background in demand generation and growth marketing for SaaS B2B companies. 

What You’ll Be Taking On

You will own all brand and performance marketing initiatives for Lumanu to onboard new users to the platform leading to high-quality sales opportunities and direct revenue through self-serve applications.

  • Own Strategic Planning, Team Alignment, and Execution: You’ll collaborate with our leadership team to set quarterly goals and priorities based on the company’s strategic plan.  You’ll build, develop, and work with a rockstar team to hit targets. Own the marketing P&L to grow sales and our creator community while maintaining favorable unit economics. Your initial team consists of three people running lead gen, content, and product marketing.
  • Own Demand Gen Strategy, Planning, and Execution: You’ll manage a team to build and improve the demand / lead gen channels to ensure there is a steady, reliable, and well-qualified flow of website activations, in-app paying upgrades and enterprise leads getting to our sales team daily. This requires an understanding of how to market to both sides of a platform.
  • Own Marketing Operations: You will develop, implement, and monitor systems and procedures necessary to make marketing run like a well-oiled machine. This means developing systems for the department with leading and lagging metrics to measure them, as well as assigning people to be accountable for them.
  • Developing the Lumanu Brand: You’ll be responsible for defining and increasing awareness of the Lumanu brand and its products. Managing standards and consistency of voice along with the look and feel of all marketing materials.


  • 4+ years in a leadership role growing a SaaS / B2B marketing team within a fast-paced, high-tech company - including hiring and developing a team which led to significant revenue growth from early stages  ($2M to $5M to $10M and beyond)
  • Experience managing and growing a team of marketers
  • Inspirational leader, capable of managing the day-to-day performance and communication of cross-functional teams that include engineers, product managers, designers, and customer support
  • A highly collaborative, hands-on individual with a natural sense of urgency, who has an inclusive and non-hierarchical leadership style and fosters a high energy environment that values rapid delivery. 
  • Experience with two-sided marketplaces
  • Solid background and understanding of midmarket and SMB SaaS, marketplace, and payments.
  • Keen analytical mind and data-informed decision-making. (Well-versed in analytics and A/B testing)
  • Be at ease with risk-taking, test-and-learn experimentation
  • Creative, driven, and strategic mindset, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build alignment around strategic objectives.
  • Deep understanding of what it takes to drive growth through multi-channel go-to-market models with multiple industry verticals
  • Influencer marketing experience a huge bonus
